Llamas and Alpacas
Alpaca's

The Qeros have always kept Llamas and Alpacas. Keeping these animals is very important for their survival. These animals are used, among other things, as a means of transport. For example, the maize harvested on the lower plains is transported to Quico. The wool has been used for centuries to weave their clothing and artesania.

The harsh winters of the past 2 years, the Pumas regularly attacking herds at night and the gangs who brutally steal animals, have dramatically reduced the herd in Quico. The purchase of llamas and alpacas is high on the list of priorities.
